A ridosso della pausa estiva , Steampunk Italia vi presenta l’ interessante progetto di una casa distributrice di fumetti indipendenti americana, la Antarctic Press ( AP entertainment). Questa azienda è sul mercato dal 1984 e si occupa di raccogliere e promuovere nuovi disegnatori e sceneggiatori emergenti nel duro mondo del comics.

Perchè ci ha colpito e che cosa centra con lo steampunk?

Before the Summer break , Steampunk Italia will show you an interesting project from an indipendent american comics editor , the  Antarctic Press ( AP entertainment). This home editor is operative since 1984 and work to promote new artists and scriptwriter inside the hard world of comics .

Why does it struck our attentions and what it has to do with Steampunk?

La Antarctic Press ha deciso di raccogliere alcuni dei migliori e suggestivi (e in alcuni casi sexy) disegni rappresentanti signore del periodo steampunk – vittoriano, e di inserirle in una serie di pubblicazioni a metà tra il fumetto e il catalogo di moda.

La cosa divertente è che a partire dal secondo volume Victorian Secret Girls of Steampunk : Girls of Summer , sembra infatti che i produttori abbiano deciso di raccogliere tavole stagionali e di inserirle in albi che sembrano proprio dei cataloghi di moda,  ecco che troviamo quindi:

– Victorian Secret Girsl Of Steampunk : Winter Wardrobe

– Victorian Secret Girsl Of Steampunk : Summer Catalog (2° edizione)

– Victorian Secret Girsl Of Steampunk : Steampunk Angels

senza dimenticare il primo volume chiamato semplicemente Victorian Secret Girsl Of Steampunk .

Un’ altro punto a favore della casa AP entertainment è che ha fatto sua una sezione interamente dedicata allo steampunk, sul loro sito ufficiale è possibile trovare molte pubblicazioni che fanno il verso allo steampunk, sempre in chiave ironica e divertente.

The  Antarctic Press decided to put together some of the best and suggestive (sexy sometimes) drawings showing ladies of victorian steampunk, and create a series of books between comics and fashion catalogues.

The funny thing is that starting from the second issue Victorian Secret Girls of Steampunk : Girls of Summer it seems that producers have decided to put together seasonal sketches and pubblicate it into seasonal comics books like fashion catalogues does. Here’s we have :
